There is no question that COVID-19 has accelerated the future. Nowhere is that more evident than in the secular shift toward digitization of products and services. The acceleration of this structural change is becoming more and more evident.
While these shifts have been happening for a long time (just think of everything you hear and read about Amazon) it is interesting that digitization is still in the early innings.
As you can see in the chart below e-commerce is growing rapidly in the U.S., but it still represents only a fraction of total retail sales and trails adoption in China and other markets. Stay Tuned!
